russian kids and a rainy festival

I spent a few days in a town called Melbu this past week with some of the Russian kids I met while in Murmansk last September. 16 of them had been invited to Norway to take part in a festival where they got to participate in some dance and theater classes. Most of the boys are big into break dancing and I even learned a couple moves, myself. The girls also like to dance and had started learning some of the break dancing moves, as well. Kto zis glavny! (That means: "Who's the boss?")

This is my new haircut. I got some weird bangs that like to do their own thing. It's cool though...I don't mind.
This past weekend was Bukta Festival. It rained pretty much the entire time, but most everyone managed to make the best of it. I wasn't really excited about much of the music, but Calexico was fantastic and Iggy and the Stooges were totally extreme and crazy. That dude is skinny and leathery. Like an alien.
